FILM SYNOPSIS
For 50 years, an 82-year-old man named El Hadj Salifou Ouédraogo has been planting baobab trees in his village in western Burkina Faso. In the beginning, his actions were met with misunderstanding and prejudice from the villagers. Today, more than a thousand baobabs stretch as far as the eye can see. He has spent more than two-thirds of his life planting these trees. It’s a struggle, and above all, a life dedicated to ensuring the existence of these majestic, ancient trees, which are rare and endangered in the African savanna.
